But he is also growing impatient...My fault boys since this is my turn to plan everything. Anyway, at this point what does everybody think (Michio included) about having our Parallel Worlds discussion sometime at the beach in August?

I think it's a splendid idea. We should try to get it in before that particle accelerator in Geneva, Switzerland creates a miniature blackhole that wipes out the earth.

I think the real question is...in what parallel universe shall we hold our discussion and at which wormhole shall we enter it?

You know what I've noticed, it's hard to put Michio on the shelf for two months and then pick up where you left off...we must get this book discussed at the beach...it will have been 6 months since our last discussion!

So Warren, do you know when and for how long you will be at the beach with us? We should plan our night of the MOP soon so the wenches don't get offended. FYI, Kathleen's family is going to Avalon, NJ, the exact same week, so that is one less to deal with! Truth be told, I'm kinda disappointed, we thought her family was going the week before, in which case I was going to take a few days off extra and go down for half a week to her place then a whole week at ours, but it's not to be. Anyway, maybe now I can focus on the task at hand...hazing the neophyte!!

I agree this meeting has been a long time coming. Hope everybody is coming along well with the book. I think the Gabler MOP's will be at the beach all week so, Warren, we'll just plan to do it one of the days you will be there. Sounds like the only wench's to worry about are mom and shana, albeit two formidable wench's

Formidable indeed brother Readie! It all depends on whether I'm back to work by then. If I am back to work then I will only be able to be at the beach for the Friday night and Saturday all day. However if I'm still in limbo I'll be with you guys for the whole week.
I'm finding it hard to get back into the book. How many lashings would I receive for not completing the book!?

With all due respek to Michio, I was hoping someone could explain M-Theory to me in a little simpler terms. I'm typing in your direction Tys. I'm just getting introduced to it in the book and can't quite grasp it yet. It seems to be the most important thing in the world of physics and I'd really like to get a grasp on it as I read. Don't know if this is something we can post about or if it is better to discuss in person but I'd really like some insight.

This is a pure logistical note. As of this writing, my lady will be joining our family for the entire week. Her family got the house now the week before us, so I'm gonna roll down Wednesday night to Avalon then down to BB on Saturday with Kathleen. As far as I see it, that just means one more wench to serve us!

It looks like I won't be back to work before the BB vacation (must be nice!) - however my wench just started her new position at work, and doesn't know if she can get the time off - I'll keep you all posted though. Worse case we'll only be at the beach over the weekend.

On a random note - does Brother Bob know about this superb blog?

OK. So wenches will be a plenty, but so will MOP members. Shall we nail down an evening for our festivities?

Mid week perhaps - Wednesday?

All, because Dad is not privy to this blog yet, we should inform him soon about when our council will be held...so he can be as prepared as possible.

Our boy, Michio, seems to be the figurehead for the particle collider in Europe. A very interesting read...
