Thanksgiving Council Meeting

Fall is in the air. The smell of turkey, pumpkin pie and Ackbar's Persian rice is almost upon us. The opportunity for another council meeting is too good to pass up. These meetings are getting harder to organize, so we must strike while the iron is hot...so to speak.
The ball is rolling towards having our next council some time over the holiday. I know this is short notice, and some of you may not even have the parchment in hand, but hopefully we can all finish the book. Believe me, it's a good one!
I look forward to seeing you all soon, to share scotch, cigars, and thoughts.

Brother Lloyd, I believe this is a fine idea. It it will be good for those of the "finer intelligence" to break from the normal coxcombs and breathe in the crisp Autumn air, fine incense, and a campfire. I wait with high anticipation for the arrival of the parchment and even more so to discuss it with my brothers of the written word.

Just wanted to say that it was an excellent council. I still do feel a bit ashamed at my actions. Frankly, the visit in general was harder than I expected. The time and money that went into it were overshadowed by the stress of seeing everyone and sadness upon leaving that I didn't get to spend time with the people I wanted to most. I am sorry to have pushed the meeting back to Friday. Thanks for understanding. Hummm.

I understand the difficulty of trying to balance time on these short trips home. No need to dwell on the matter. It was the first time the MOP had to encounter one of it's members traveling from a great distance, and it had to happen to one of us sooner or later. I think it was a very successful council meeting overall. I'm glad we did it. Now we can move on to the next parchment with gusto!
