Elementary My Dear Brothers...Elementary

Brothers,
I trust that you have all gotten your eager fingers wrapped firmly around our newest parchment by now. No doubt that your superior cortex has been unraveling Agatha's mystery since page 1 and you all have begun to form theories on the culprit of this great murder. Well, I think it would be fascinating to hear whom each of us suspects has committed the crime at certain points in the story. So, in the spirit of our newest genre...the mystery, why don't you each comment on this post your first guess as to the murderer after completing chapter 12 of the story...page 127 in my edition. Hopefully none of you have made it past that point yet...but if you have, just post your guess anyway and let us know what chapter you are on. Then, once again submit your guess after chapter 19 and 26. Chapter 30 is the last of the book so maybe chapter 26 should be our last guess...who knows, maybe we'll already know by then. Glory awaits the best sleuth among us! Go forth ye seekers!!!

Great idea, Master Lieb. I think more than one person is behind this thing. I am finished chapter 12 and my gut feeling is old man Pennington. If I don't have internet access next week I will at least jot down or text who I think did the deed on a piece of paper or something...

I wonderfully intreging cast of characters with an interesting mix of motives that seems to incriminate everyone...ahhh...except Mrs. Allerton???????

Von Pluma, I agree with you...think this is more complex and could not have been carried out by just one. Yes, we've all been led to believe Jackie could not have carried out the murder...not DIRECTLY! But I believe it is a conspiracy between Simon and Jackie! It was their plan all along for Simon to sweep Linnet off her feet, marry, and then kill her so that Jackie and Simon could live happily ever after inheriting Linnet's fortune. Or it was Mrs. Allerton...

I think we can all agree that Master Lieb did a terrific job with all latest council meeting. It may go down as the best yet.

It was an honour and a privilege to sail the high seas with you all.

Agreed. This was truly a great event; well-orchestrated and choreographed...not unlike an Aggie novel actually. Great job, Lieb.

I was thinking that either on the website or Googledocs (probably the former), whoever selects the book should put a very synopsis of the council. I'm thinking either a tab or section of the website that just has: date of meeting, time, book, author, location, event, what was grown, what was burnt, any activities that took place, what alcohol was consumed, what cigars were smoked, miscellaneous things, etc. Not quite meeting minutes, but just something to say, "remember when we went and painted the women's shelter before Another Bullshit Night in Suck City." I also think it will be neat to see the list of what we grow. We could probably fill in certain past events, but if we start now it may be a more complete directory, and I think it will only take 5 or 10 minutes after a meeting to document it.

I think that is a splendid idea young Pluma!

I really like your idea Colin. I'm not sure how we can do it on the blog, as I don't think there is a way to add a page. Perhaps in the meantime we should use Google docs to begin to hash out the synopsis for each meeting. Then we can figure out how to get it on the blog (future MOP website).
If anyone has some free time laying around feel free to create a g doc we can all collaborate on.
Go forth...
