It has been far too long since we last congregated as a council. I take full responsibility for this lengthy hiatus, and offer myself up for 20 lashings at the next meeting. I'm going to throw out some potential dates for the next meeting. Please take a look, check your calendars, and then leave a comment detailing your preferences:

Strike that. I just booked a redeye home from sin city on the 21st. So sadly that whole weekend is out for me now.
I am available all days except March 22.
So how about we shoot for April 4th or 5th?
At the risk of appearing I have nothing going on in my life, you can pencil me in for either Friday or Saturday evening. Somewhat as an aside, I am planning on a coin auction that Saturday in the morning. UD may come down and go with me ? but that's a big question mark for now. Regardless, let me say unequivocally I am available for this long awaited assemblage.
Afternoon fellas, I don't think I'll be able to sneak away for that weekend. It's not out of the question, but it is a pretty busy time. My apologies. Incidentally, I have about 80 pages left in the parchment...
I was thinking about how difficult it has been for us to have a nice continuous flow of reading and council meetings. Not pointing fingers or anything, just think it's so complicated to get gentleman with codpieces of our caliber together at one given time. Anyway, maybe it would be beneficial for the next in line to pick a book (Tyson this time around I believe?) To not only announce his book at the mtg, but also to agree upon a date for the next mtg. Doesn't have to be set in stone or anything, but at least it will help get us moving a bit quicker from book to book. Just a suggestion. Can't wait for the next council! What a great parchment brother Lloyd!

Pencil in Saturday April 5th for the council meeting. Pompous it will be in the evening so it shouldn't clash with the coin auction.
Brother DL (forgive me for not remembering your real MOP name) may be in town Apr 5. I will reach out to see if he would be up for joining us.

An unknown hour draw near on a date declared for our literary reflection.
The anticipation is taking a toll. God help us all.
Gentlemen,
Indeed the day and hour draws near. The evening of Saturday April 5th sets itself before us like a McChicken ready to be devoured.
We will congregate at mi casa at precisely 8pm EST. This timing will coincide with wenches departing, and small humans going to sleep.
Depending on weather and how Brother Cabeza de la Carne (think I got that right) is feeling that evening, we will plan to sit under the stars around burning wood for the meeting itself. It not we will have to hold proceedings indoors.
Either way cigars will be smoked and distilled spirits will be consumed in liberal portions.
