Thanksgiving Council Meeting

Fall is in the air. The smell of turkey, pumpkin pie and Ackbar's Persian rice is almost upon us. The opportunity for another council meeting is too good to pass up. These meetings are getting harder to organize, so we must strike while the iron is hot...so to speak.
The ball is rolling towards having our next council some time over the holiday. I know this is short notice, and some of you may not even have the parchment in hand, but hopefully we can all finish the book. Believe me, it's a good one!
I look forward to seeing you all soon, to share scotch, cigars, and thoughts.

Dr. Weird loves the MOP like the son he never had!

I have been pondering the next book choice for over a week now. I have not yet come to a final decision, but I have whittled it down to 3 books.
Rest assured that my choice will be calculated, however you should prepare yourself for something a little 'off the wall'.
I think we should still shoot to have the next council meeting just before the Lord's birthday. Thoughts?
Remember - being weird isn't good, or bad, it's just different.

Mystery Book

Well, you have come this far so that soon the truth may be revealed to you. You are only moments from discovery! I assume you have received your letter in the mail and there is one final step to revealing the parchment. There is a website you must access which will give you the truth you seek. Before you may know the web address, I must once again confirm your identity. Please text message me the name of any item we have both grown and burned thus far at a council meeting. When I have confirmed that you are who you say you are, the web address will be texted to you.

Now, after accessing the website, enter your code (from your letter) into the box on the right and enter number “8” into the “key value” box. Click on the decode button and Gentlemen...the selection will be revealed!

Concise Cafe

Thought a blog containing some shorter works of writing might do us well in our endless quest for the written word. I see this as a place for favorite quotes, poetry, short stories...a celebration of the concise (in size but not in substance) literary forms! Blog on brothers with thou codpiece in hand!!

Soooooo who likes books and stuff?

I decided to create a new post on the blog as the previous one has been up here since Moses was a boy, AND 29 comments on one post is way too many! It's depressing people!
Instead I thought we could all stare at this lovely photograph of tumbleweed blowing down the street of some forgotten ghost town in the middle of Nowheresville.
Yup pretty boring eh?
Now imagine this place without books. Now picture it without the alluring smell of fresh cigar smoke. Ok stop crying.
This place I speak of friends...it's our hearts and minds.
Master Lieb - for the sake of all that is good, rejuvenate our hearts and minds!
